Little girls love to play dress up. This girl's mom brought a couple of her daughter's favorite dress up outfits to her photo shoot and I'm so glad she did. I just love these pictures.

Locks of Love

My friend and her daughter decided to grow their hair out so they could donate it to Locks of Love. A year and a half later, I joined them at the hair salon for the big day. I love your giving spirits and I'm so proud of you two!

Post Wedding Celebration

This couple had recently gotten married out of town but wanted to have a second reception event for their friends and family in the bay area. Yes, the food was as good as it looks!

Blue Eyes but not so Blue Skies

The day after this shoot it actually snowed...very rare here! Fortunately we had a little sun and were able to find some shelter from the chilly wind. Oh, to have bright blue eyes like this little boy.

Christmas Cheer

Don't these pictures make you want to get out the hot cocoa and sing carols? The holidays are a popular time for familes to take pictures since they can also use them for their holiday cards.  I love the red sweaters.

Baking Birthday Party

Combine flour, sugar, yeast, frosting, and your kindergarten classmates, and you've got yourself one fun birthday baking party. The kids made and decorated their own pretzels, ice cream cone cupcakes, and even their own aprons. It was some good, messy fun!

There's just something so special about one year olds when they are starting to walk and are showing more of their personalities.  This little girl was no exception.

This was a great session with a really fun family. The boys had lots of fun exploring our shoot location. I have to admit that I had a lot of fun too!

and baby makes six...

The first time I took pictures for this family, they had just had their third baby.  They now have another beautiful baby boy.  While we were taking family pictures, we also got some adorable shots of all of the kids, including a precious mom and baby portrait.

The virtues of pink and green

When I was growing up, "The Preppy Handbook" instructed us on the virtues of pink and green. I love that this still holds true after so many years and that these best friends chose those colors for their senior shoot together. I took these photos on a very hot and humid summer day in Texas. It was over 100 degrees and these girls were such good sports.

it's good to be three!

I'm so lucky to be able to capture the memories as families celebrate their children's birthdays. These three year olds had a great time at this fun party. I especially enjoyed it since my son had his party at this same venue when he was this age. Lot of happy memories!

Package 1 - Photo Shoot that includes 4 digital images and option to purchase additional photos - $175


Includes the following:
*An outdoor photo session that typically lasts 30 to 45 minutes.
*40 or more untouched photos available online for preview and selection.
*Your package includes 4 high-resolution, finished digital images, including minor Photoshop retouching.
  Images are .jpg format and are PC and Mac compatible. Additional prints or digital images (.jpg format)
  may be purchased separately. These will also include minor Photoshop retouching. See price list below.
*A Photographer’s Release Form will be provided for any .jpg files purchased (including 4 provided with
  package) so you can print photos of your images wherever and however you choose, including holiday
  cards.

Package 2 - All-inclusive package including extended photo shoot and 40+ digital images - $275 (or $250 for mid-week morning shoots)

Includes the following:

*An outdoor photo session that typically lasts about 45 minutes to an hour and a half. The idea is
  to be relaxed and catch people being natural and happy. We take breaks for snacks and
  melt downs. :-)
*A disk with 40 or more (typically more) high-resolution, finished digital images, including
  minor Photoshop retouching. I also include small versions of the images to email or put on
  web pages, etc. Images are .jpg format and are PC and Mac compatible.
*A Photographer’s Release Form so you can print photos of your images wherever and however
  you choose, including holiday cards.

Um, yea...I got nothin'

Okay, so I've been taking pictures for a while now and have been trying to think of a great name for my photography business with no luck. I've been using Photos by Carrie, but it just doesn't have that je ne sais quoi I'm looking for. I have some fabulous new equipment and fresh new ideas but still don't have a new name. That's where you come in. I know so many clever and witty people and I figured one of you will be able to come up with something great. I'm looking for a name that is:

• Professional
• Hip and cool (but not too hip and cool)
• Somewhat generic (to cover the multiple types of photography that I do-from babies to business head shots)
• Unique - something that can have its own URL and doesn't already have a facebook page.

The winner will receive a free photo shoot with 40 or more edited images on disk and the photos will be featured on my blog and new Facebook Fan Page. The photo shoot must take place in the local San Francisco bay area.  For all you in the Houston area, please enter too--but the photo shoot would take place in the Houston area when I am in town.
